Following on from the success of the 2008 Michaelmas Festival preparations are well underway for another fun filled weekend this year. The festival takes place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September and promises to live up to it’s well deserved reputation as a fun day out for all the family from the very youngest to the very oldest.
In 2008 the festival committee pledged to raise funds to purchase a defibrillator and train up a team to operate it, this would be used for the benefit of the whole Graiguenamanagh community. The equipment is in place now and 15 people are fully trained so congratulations are due to everyone who helped in any capacity make this dream a reality.
If you are interested in booking a spot to demonstrate a traditional craft at this year’s festival or sell your hand made items please be aware that you need to contact Derry on 086-3661410 asap. Preference will be given to locally produced work and we are looking for an interesting variety of handcrafts and products.
